Thayne Snow Days will kick off on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. with the return of the crowd pleasing Fire and Ice event.
“Fire and Ice is back,” said Lorell Woolley, event coordinator. “We’ve got the professional guys coming in to do some jumping. We will have fireworks again. So we are excited to have it all back.”
According to Woolley, the professional riders also plan to do some jumping on Saturday, Feb. 1 as well.
“The racer’s meeting will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday,” said Woolley. “Races will begin around 9 a.m. We will have an opening ceremony like we have done in years past. Then the races will get underway. I believe we will do the vintage races first and go from there. We will have the popular mini races and those sorts of things as well.”
Area businesses and vendors are invited to participate, Woolley said. Information for vendors and businesses is available by calling Woolley at Paperworks Plus.
Registration forms for races are available at RPM, Salt River Motors, Paperworks Plus and online at the Town of Thayne website.
“We will have concessions again this year,” Woolley said. “This is our 16th year and we are excited for all of the things that are planned and going to take place. Bring your family and come out for a great event.”
