Brewery proposal set for Alpine

The Town of Alpine will host a public hearing on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Alpine Town Hall.  The purpose of the meeting is to present information regarding a grant application to the Wyoming Business Council relating to a brewery development proposal.

According to information provided by the Town of Alpine, the town “intends to submit an application for a BRC Business Committed Grant for the purchase of land and construction of utilities, roads, water and sewer extensions and [a] new building that would service a private brewery facility located west and north of the existing Alpine wastewater plant.”

“This is a project that will bring 30 plus employees to the town over the next four years,” said Alpine Mayor Kennis Lutz. “If we can create another 30 jobs and get some more people to move into town then more businesses and services will follow and that will bring more people. The meeting on Thursday is to decide if this project something the town will support and to learn more about the project. There will be a power point presentation and it should really be very informative.”

For more information on the public hearing, contact the Town of Alpine at 654-7757.
