The Town of Alpine is busy with final preparations for its first Winter Jubilee Celebration. The event takes place Feb. 28 through March 2.
A winter barbecue with hot drinks and hot dogs is planned for the ice rink, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Racer registration will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Flying Saddle.
The opening ceremonies are set for 7 p.m. on Friday evening. There will also be a light parade, vintage sled race and fireworks display.
Saturday race registration will continue from 7-8 a.m. Races will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Children’s activities will take place starting at noon at Marge Grover Park. A scavenger hunt will also take place from noon to 4 p.m.
Horse drawn sleigh rides will take place throughout the day.
A casino night is set for the Alpine Civic Center from 5:30-10 p.m. Proceeds from the casino night will benefit area food banks.
Races will continue on Sunday. Sleigh rides will also take place on Sunday.
