Star Valley Middle School Principal Kem Cazier recently served as part of an anti-bullying panel during the National Youth At Risk Conference. The conference was under the direction of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Ga.
“The panel of bullying experts gave ideas for bullying prevention and gave ideas for solutions in schools,” he said. “Bullying prevention is one of the most pressing topics in education today. With many instances of school violence linked to bullying, schools are seeking practical solutions that can curtail this epidemic.”
Panel participants also included Anita Sander, assistant profession from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C.; Joshua Sanders, academic advisor in Marana, Ariz.; and Rick Shaw, president of Awareity, Inc., in Lincoln, Neb.
During the conference, Cazier also gave a presentation on the Star Valley Middle School Be CLASSY program.
