Spring into action and celebrate National Park Week on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 8-10 a.m. at Fossil Butte National Monument.
Ranger Marcia Fagnant will lead a visitor center area tour to discover birds in their spring colors and learn a few bird songs. There’s even a chance sage grouse will be out strutting.
Attendees will meet at the Visitor Center (15 miles west of Kemmerer) for an 8 a.m. start. After viewing birds around the visitor center, the group will travel to the picnic area for more bird watching.
Bring water, snacks, binoculars, camera and dress for the weather. For any additional details contact the visitor center at 307-877-4455.
National Park Week is April 19-27, 2014 and is celebrated throughout the Park Service. Check the website www.nps.gov for activities at other Park Service units.
