Dr. Amy Tomlinson greeted Star Valley residents for the first time at the Star Valley Medical Center Health and Safety Expo, Saturday June 7.
Dr. Tomlinson is moving to Star Valley this summer from Breckinridge, Colorado, where she has maintained an OBGYN practice for the past six years and prior to Colorado she worked in women’s health care in New Mexico. She trained in Wisconsin.
Dr. Tomlinson opens her practice for women’s health care at SVMC on July 21.
She and her husband, Brett, who has accepted a teaching position with Lincoln County School District No. 2, are excited about their move to Star Valley.
“We wanted a change, but we wanted a rural community in the mountains,” Dr. Tomlinson explained. “We’re outdoor enthusiasts, we like the biking, hiking and cross country skiing.” She added, “And we like being around people who are nice, with wholesome values and a good quality of life.”
Dr. Tomlinson will maintain clinic hours four days a week at SVMC and will be providing the a full scope of OBGYN care.
