Larry Rosenwinkel has been appointed to serve on the Alpine Town Council. The action took place during the Tuesday, July 15 council meeting.
During the meeting, Alpine Mayor Kennis Lutz stated his desire to have Rosenwinkel serve on the council. The decision was supported unanimously by the council members.
According to information provided by the Town of Alpine, Rosenwinkel will fill the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Marietta Lanphear.
Lanphear resigned from the Alpine Town Council on July 10 for personal and health reasons. Lanphear was elected to her council seat in 2010.
During the July 15 meeting, Mayor Lutz commended Lanphear for her tireless and devoted service to the Town of Alpine. He thanked her for her service to the community and her continued interest in seeing the Town of Alpine continue to grow and be successful.
Rosenwinkel will serve on the council through December. The council seat is up for election this year.
