An Afton construction site accident on Monday, July 28, has claimed the life of a 23-year-old man from Idaho.

Afton Police Chief, Randy Haderlie, reported the accident occurred just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Washington and First Avenue where trenching is underway on a sewer line in advance of road paving.

The victim has been identified as Killian Rigby of St. Anthony, Idaho. Mr. Rigby died at the scene.

The Afton Police Department, Star Valley EMS and the Wyoming Highway Patrol responded to the scene.

The name was withheld at press time pending notification of family members.
