Video: First responders hold trauma response exercise

Saturday, Aug. 23, first reponders from Alpine Fire and EMS, Thayne EMS and the Star Valley Medical Center participated in a trauma response training. The event took place in the Grover Park area.
The accident scenario included a number of youth being involved in an ATV accident while recreating in the National Forest.

The accident victims were treated on scene and then transported to Star Valley Medical Center, where the training continued with the SVMC Trauma Team and supporting medical center staff.
The goal of the training was to test how a multiple trauma injury event would be handled by response teams and healthcare professionals.
