The Annual Friends of the Alpine Library Book Sale will continue through Saturday, Aug. 15.
Funds raised through the sale will benefit the library and associated community programs in Alpine. Wendi Walton, Alpine Branch Librarian says the sale includes many young adult novels and a rare local interest book called, “The Teton Peaks and Their Ascents,” by Fritiof Fryxell. It is a signed, 1932 first edition, with fold out map. The librarian says the author was the first naturalist for Grand Teton National Park, and the book is one of the first technical climbing books for the Tetons.
