The Wyoming Department of Transportation will hold an open house on Thursday, July 28. The open house is set to take place at the Thayne Community Center from 5-7 p.m. According to WYDOT, the purpose of the open house is to present information and potential alternatives for “highway improvements for U.S. 89 between Thayne and Etna.”
“As traffic and population growth increase, capacity and safety improvements are needed in order for the highway to continue serving as an important local and regional connection,” a release from WYDOT states. “The purpose of this open house-style meeting is to present the preliminary alternatives that have been developed for analysis in an environmental assessment, and to receive input no the alternatives from the public.”
At the July 28 meeting WYDOT representatives will be on hand to “discuss the study and answer questions.” For more information, contact Nick Hines, Project Delivery Supervisor, at (307) 777-4156. Information is also available online.
