Competitors did their best to outrun the rain as the annual Star Valley track meet was held, named after former BYU All-American decathlete, Dave Draney.
The Lady Braves scored 187.0 team points to win the girls side. Soda Springs was second with 85.5 and Jackson Hole was third with 81.0
The Braves scored a whopping 264.0 team points to win the guys side. Mountain View was second with 108.0 and Soda Springs was third with 87.0

Senior Kaden Johnson became just the second SVHS thrower to ever hit 50 feet in the shot put as he stretched the tape at 50′ 3.5″ during yesterday’s meet…The third in history may be soon as senior McCabe Smith threw 49′ 1″ yesterday as well…The boys 4×800 meter relay team battled a headwind and temperatures in the low ’40s but still ran 8:03, less than a second off their pace in Arcadia, California…SVI Media was able to broadcast much of the meet but cut the coverage short as wet conditions were threatening camera equipment
