Wyoming is ranked near the bottom of the 50 states in broadband internet coverage according to research published by Broadband Now.
The Cowboy State is the 44th most connected state with 25% of the population underserved. Three-quarters of Wyoming has broadband coverage of at least 25 mbps supplied by the 81 service providers in the state.
Lincoln County ranked 18th out of the 22 counties in connectivity. However, Thayne is the second fastest city in Wyoming trailing only Jackson.
Sublette, Crook, Weston, and Niobrara counties do not have access to broadband of speeds at least 25 mbps. Overall, 48,000 Wyoming residents live where there are no wired internet providers at all.
