Wade Richard Farrow was taken into custody without incident as a suspect in the murder of Tony Hansen. The case was originally scheduled for June 30, 2015. A joint motion to vacate the scheduling order was filed and granted as well as an illness of the defense counsel. The trial will finally begin on Monday, September 26, 2016.

The SVHS Dance team is schedule to compete on Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. (Jazz) and 6:10 (Hip-Hop). The SVHS Cheerleaders are scheduled to compete at 3:18 (Cheer Non-Stunt) and 5:02 (Stunt).
According to information provided by the Town of Afton, this month Mayor Neuenschwander will be approaching a number of individuals and asking them to serve on the tourism board.
