The Lady Braves were able to use strong performances from their relay teams late in the meet to take the regional championship while the Cody Broncs put together a strong effort in the sprinting events and the long-distance events to take the team title.
After the first day of the 3A West Regionals, the Jackson Hole High School girls and the Cody High School boys have the team leads in Afton.

Dave Draney was a SVHS standout on the 1983 3A state championship team, the last track title for the school. Draney competed at BYU and also coached and mentored national champion Charles Clinger at SVHS.
