DJ Harrison has been offered a plea deal from Lincoln County which would spare him the death penalty in the kidnapping and death of Utah Transit Authority employee, Kay Porter Ricks. Harrison, already facing no less than 30 years in Utah for kidnapping crimes in Davis County, would serve a life sentence plus 20 years without the possibility of parole.

PacifiCorp has made the decision to shut down Unit #3 at the Naughton Power Plant outside of Kemmerer in the fall of 2017. The #3 is a top source of tax revenue for LCSD #2.
